About Us

Window of Philadelphia

Window of Philadelphia is a non-profit organization established in 2017 by the U.S.-China Business Travel Association with the support and leadership of the Pennsylvania Department of Commerce and the Asian American Committee of the Philadelphia Government. It is committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, education and culture, tourism and exhibitions, medicine and pensions, internet finance and other related economic fields between Philadelphia and Chinese cities.

Through various friendly activities, we aim to build a window for economic and trade cooperation between cities, deepen understanding and further development. Sun Guoxiang, a special envoy for Asian affairs of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Alan Motta, director of the International Economic Development and Investment Center of the Pennsylvania Department of Commerce, stood at the center during the plaque unveiling. Window of Philadelphia achieved exchanges and cooperation in various fields through a number of bilateral cooperation organizations and institutions between China and the United States. These organizations include bilateral government and non-governmental representative agencies such as the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, the Pennsylvania International Diplomatic Agency, the Philadelphia Conventon and Visitors Bureau, the Alliance of Ethnic Minority Representatives, the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the U.S.-China Exchange Center, and the Foreign Affairs Office of Domestic Cities. The main areas of cooperation include the Philadelphia Universities Alliance, the Church School Alliance, Therault International Education, Jefferson Medical University Affiliated Hospital, Watermark Pension Group, etc.

Zhang, President of the Sino-America Business & Travel Association, and after several rounds of consultations with the Yangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, the Window of Philadelphia - Yangzhou Center (Liaison Station for Attracting Talents and Attracting Wisdom) landed in Philadelphia in February 2016, kicking off the prelude to friendly cooperation and frequent interaction between Philadelphia and Yangzhou. Subsequently, a number of delegations from Yangzhou City visited to inspect Philadelphia and conducted friendly negotiations with local government departments, business, academia and medical circles in Philadelphia, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Philadelphia. In May 2017, under the recommendation of Ms. Zhang Baojuan, then Mayor of Yangzhou, and coordinated by the Yangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, the U.S.-China Chamber of Commerce and Tourism signed a cooperation agreement with Yangzhou Eco-Science and Technology New City With that, the "Window of Philadelphia - Yangzhou Center" was officially settled in the new eco-city. SABTA

Sino-America Business & Travel Assiocation

The Sino-American Business & Travel Association was established in 2014 to promote government meetings and communications, business negotiations and cooperation, tourism and cultural exchanges, and interactions between Philadelphia and various cities in China in order to tighten cooperative relations between China and the United States. At the same time, we hope that through the unremitting efforts of the members of the Chamber of Commerce, we will actively spread positive information about China, so that American politics, businesses and American people have a more comprehensive understanding of China, and strive for the recognition and respect of mainstream American society for overseas Chinese. In the course of 8 years, we have built a friendly city exchange platform for more than 10 cities. Over 100 units and enterprises have joined us, and the number of government and large enterprise patrons has exceeded 2,000. Exchange activities and cooperative promotion involve multi-faceted fields such as culture, education, medical care, and science and technology. They not only promote cultural and educational exchanges between bilateral cities in China and the United States, but also promote cooperation projects between enterprises. With the outbreak of the epidemic in 2020, we are more committed to public welfare and mutual assistance activities, such as actively raising medical protective materials for China and the United States, and donating urgently needed medical supplies to medical units.

Mr. Zhang Wenlong and Ms. Ren Meiqing are the founders of the Sino-American Business & Travel Association. The current commissioner of the Asian American Committee of the Mayor's Office, Mr. Zhang Wenlong, serves as the chairman. The committee consists of 8 board members, including local Chinese community leaders in Philadelphia, business elites, successful new Chinese immigrants, and senior politicians. The association currently has more than 60 members, from elites in various industries, professional lawyers, professional doctors, accountants and so on. We welcome people of different nationalities and races who share our ideals and beliefs to join us. In recent years, the US-China Business Travel Association has successfully held many large-scale events, which have been recognized and highly praised by the government and the local mainstream community. At the same time, it has also worked hard to actively promote political and business interactions between China and the United States, cooperation in the fields of cultural exchanges and education, and the landing of projects.
