In May 2014, the Sino-American Business & Travel Association planned and held a personal calligraphy exhibition and national quintessence performance “traveling through time and space, transcending national boundaries” for Xiong Feng, a well-known Chinese calligrapher, in Philadelphia. Through calligraphy lectures, television interviews, media dialogues, and live brushstroke performances, Xiong Feng had extensive exchanges with the local society and brought the Chinese culture represented by calligraphy into mainstream American society. During the exhibition, Zhong Ruiming, then Deputy Consul General of the Consulate General of New York, Consul Yang Zerui of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Group, and Director of the Foreign Exchange Bureau of the City of Philadelphia were invited
Chinese calligraphy was officially registered as a “World Intangible Cultural Heritage” in 2009 and has become more and more popular. Xiong Feng believes that the Japanese recognize calligraphy as a text, while Americans appreciate calligraphy as a graphic and art. Chinese culture has a great moral commitment. If Chinese culture is to go to the world, Americans must know, understand, and worship it. Nowadays, there are no less than a hundred famous painters in the United States, but there are very few calligraphers of weight. The classic inscriptions created by Xiong Feng in the form of “Linshu” allowed Americans to see works that are only available in museums. Xiong Feng engaged in calligraphy creation and teaching activities in Japan, promoted Chinese culture, went to the United States to do important cultural displays, introducing the unique art of calligraphy to American society. He is always full of cultural self-confidence.
In August, he sponsored the summer camp of “One Pupil's Vision Walks the World, Young Reporters Travel to the United States” of Wuhan Radio and Television in China, and held a welcome ceremony for young reporters in the lobby of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Philadelphia's First District City Councilman Mark Squilla and other foreign guests, as well as more than 30 young reporters, attended the event.
On April 15th, the Sino-American Business & Travel Association led the Philadelphia Tourism Bureau and the Convention and Exhibition Center to visit the Consulate General of China in New York. Zhang Qiyue, the Chinese Consul General in New York, met with the visiting Philadelphia Tourism Bureau and the Convention and Exhibition Center President Ferguson and Executive Director Seid and his party. Ferguson introduced Philadelphia's unique historical, geographic and cultural environment, and expressed his desire to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Consul General Zhang Qiyue said that the states in the New York consular district have rich tourism resources, as well as favorable conditions for trade, investment, education, humanities and history, and there is a good foundation for further strengthening bilateral cooperation. Consul General Zhang Qiyue also said that last year, China and the United States signed a ten-year visa reciprocity arrangement. Since then, there have been more and more business and tourist personnel from China to the eastern United States, and the number of U.S. personnel to China has also increased significantly.

The Sino-American Business & Travel Association assisted in arranging for Consul General Zhang Qiyue and the Consulate General of China in New York to meet with Mayer of Philadelphia Mr. Kenney in Philadelphia. It arranged for an accompanying Chinese business delegation to visit Philadelphia to discuss and cooperate with the city of Philadelphia and local enterprises to explore the possibility of future cooperations.
The Sino-American Business & Travel Association received Deputy Mayor Zhang Baojuan and his party from the Yangzhou Municipal Government in Philadelphia, USA. During this trip, the Yangzhou government signed a cooperation agreement with the Sino-American Business & Travel Association and implemented it at the Yangzhou Recruitment Contact Station. During this trip, it was determined to establish Window of Philadelphia and discuss the introduction of Window of Philadelphia to Yangzhou.
In July, the Sino-American Business & Travel Association arranged for the "Yangzhou Little Envoy" to walk into the Chinese Consulate General in New York. Consulate General Zhang Qiyue met with the students cordially. Counsellor Xu Yongji introduced the general situation of the Consulate General, the Consular District in New York and related content such as Sino-US cultural exchanges to the students in a concise and easy-to-understand manner.
In October 2016, the founder of the Window of Philadelphia and the Sino-American Business & Travel Association, was commissioned and guided by the Chinese Consulate General of New York and the Philadelphia Government to compile and distribute the "Philadelphia Story", an annual album of Sino-US tourism, to help "2016 China-US Tourism Year".
All parties commented that the handbook not only provides convenience for Chinese tourists to better understand Philadelphia, a famous historical and cultural city, but also added new highlights to tourism cooperation and cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
On the evening of October 7th, the release ceremony of the "Philadelphia Story" handbook was held at the Franklin Institute, the oldest science and technology Museum in the United States. Zhang Qiyue, Consul General of China in New York, Cheng Lei, Deputy Consul General, and Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenny, Director of the Franklin Science and Technology Museum of Philadelphia, Dubinsky, Philadelphia City Tourism Bureau, Department of Commerce and other representatives attended and congratulated the publication of the handbook. In his speech, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenny also highly praised the ancient costume and thread-bound handbook with Chinese cultural characteristics, saying it was the most beautiful "Travel Manual" he had ever seen.
At the release ceremony , we shared“Philadelphia Story” and “China Story” on the same stage. At the same time, the "Chinese Story 2016" photo and video exhibition was held, accompanied by the graceful Chinese folk music performed by young Chinese musicians. This event allowed guests to learn about Philadelphia, a century-old historical city, while watching with interest the Chinese themed exhibition and scrolling through pictures provided by the Chinese Ministry of Culture from different angles to perceive China's long history, magnificent scenery and unique humanistic customs and vitality.

In July, the founder of the Philadelphia Window, the Sino-American Business & Travel Association, was commissioned by Zhejiang Satellite TV to arrange and welcome the “China Blue Student Reporters” visit to the United States. After early contact and careful arrangements, the reporters were welcomed by the Chester County Government, which ranks among the top 5 in education in the United States, received a letter of condolences from the Governor of Pennsylvania, and started their journey to the United States. During the period, under the arrangement of the Sino-American Business & Travel Association, the“China Blue Student Reporters” interviewed senior professors from a number of Rattan schools, the director of the Asia-Pacific Affairs Department of the Pennsylvania Governor's Office, the director of the Dupont Park Foundation, the world's largest private garden, and the famous anchor of the well-known American media, NPR. They completed interviews in many fields of academia, business, politics, mainstream society and mainstream media, not only broadening their horizons, but also standing on an international platform. On July 13th, we took the young reporters to the Chinese Consulate General in New York. Deputy Consul General Zhang Meifang, on behalf of Consul General Zhang Qiyue, welcomed the “China Blue” little reporters in “returning home”. The unveiling ceremony of ”Window of Philadelphia—Yangzhou Center" was successfully held in Yangzhou. Sun Guoxiang, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Yu Ying, Deputy Mayor, attended the event and unveiled the establishment of the center. The project was initiated by Mr. Zhang Wenlong, President of the Sino-American Business & Travel Association, and opened an exchange and cooperation platform between Philadelphia and Yangzhou. The signing ceremony of the “Window Philadelphia-Yangzhou Center” and the Philadelphia Universities Alliance was also held at the event. As the first project introduced by the center, this cooperation will effectively promote exchanges between the two cities in the field of education.
On October 26th, Deputy Mayor Yu Ting of Yangzhou City - Jiangsu Province presented the “Jiangsu International Friendship City Cooperation Commemorative Medal” to Mr. Zhang Wenlong, President of the Sino-American Business & Travel Association. The award was organized and selected by the Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and awarded to a total of 31 international allies in recognition of their positive contributions to promoting the opening up of Jiangsu Province to the outside world, strengthening exchanges and cooperation between international friendly cities, and enhancing understanding and exchanges between people from all over the world.
In December, after more than a year of bilateral communication and arrangements by Window of Philadelphia, Dr. Zhou Sheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of Yangzhou Vocational University, and his team visited Philadelphia to conduct close exchanges with Campus Philly and Temple University School of Public Health. They signed a cooperation agreement to promote the establishment and operation of Sino-US educational cooperation projects.
In November, we led Ms. Stacy Lyon, Deputy Director of the Utah State Department of Education, on a visit to East China, and for them to connect with Hangzhou and Yangzhou Education Bureaus, establish an alliance of sister city schools, and discuss specific measures for inter-school cooperation.
In July, Window of Philadelphia organized annual large-scale youth study tours in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, including Zhejiang Television's "China Blue Student Reporter" visit to the United States, and The Window of Philadelphia brand "The Power of Science" study camp, etc. It organized nearly 200 Chinese teenagers to conduct immersive research in major cities in the east and west of the United States. The event was strongly supported by the Pennsylvania government, which regularly closed the road to hold a grand opening ceremony for the exchange team of the Window of Philadelphia, and representatives of state legislators, mayor of capital of state, county governors and CEO of the internationally renowned brand "Hershey" Chocolate World were invited to attend the welcome ceremony, and exchanged gifts with the students. In 2019, we once again became the only youth team received by the Chinese Consulate General in New York, the deputy consul general exchanged with everyone and watched the students' talent display; multiple research teams carried out activities at the same time, and we arranged mainstream social networking, celebrity interviews and extraordinary experiences for the students in multiple fields. This includes visiting NPR and interviewing well-known Chinese anchors, attending a press conference hosted by the NBA star team 76ers in particular for the Window of Philadelphia team to meet with star players face-to-face, walking into the headquarters of a well-known company Hershey Chocolate to experience the world's only 3D chocolate making process while interviewing successful entrepreneurs, and experiencing the world's most advanced technology at the Franklin Science and Technology Department Museum. They visited the Ivy League famous universities Harvard, Yale, Penn, Columbia University, communicated with outstanding professors and students, participate in local student summer camps, and harvested friendships with American teenagers.
On November 27th, the Yangzhou Foreign Affairs Office received Zhang Wenlong, founder of Window Philadelphia and President of the Sino-American Business & Travel Association, and appointed President Zhang Wenlong as an overseas consultant to the Third Council of the Yangzhou People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and awarded the 2020 “Yangzhou International Friendship Messenger” in recognition of Mr. Zhang Wenlong's active participation in the development of Yangzhou as an international figure, especially in the introduction of high-quality top talents, international high-tech projects, and top-quality educational resources. All of which made outstanding contributions to Yangzhou.
After the United States fell into the epidemic, Mr. Zhang Wenlong, the founder of Window Philadelphia, stepped forward once again, using his resources and channels in international economics and trade to purchase large quantities of medical supplies for the city of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania region free of charge. This act of standing up in distress was highly praised and affirmed by the Chester County Government.
In early stages of the outbreak of Covid-19, medical facilities faced an extreme shortage of domestic medical supplies and the scarcity of resources. Window of Philadelphia urgently purchased large quantities of medical supplies overseas through multiple channels and transferred them to Yangzhou to make outstanding contributions to Yangzhou's anti-epidemic work.
In October of the golden autumn in the post-epidemic era, with the strong support of the Yizheng Municipal Government and the Foreign Affairs Office of the Yangzhou Municipal Government, the 2021 Yangzhou World Horticultural Expo and First Canal Cities Model United Nations Conference were successfully held. The Window of Philadelphia organized a professional team of current United Nations personnel, officials of international organizations, and teachers of prestigious model united nations at home and abroad to set up the operation conference of the secretariat of the Model United Nations. The conference invited United Nations officials, the Ministry of Education leader, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs leader, and local government officials to participate. The Governor of Pennsylvania sent a congratulatory message to witness the successful holding of the conference. Special guest-Mr. Xu Haoliang, Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, sent a video from the United Nations Headquarters in New York to congratulate the student representatives on their outstanding performance; Mr. Xu Yongji, Deputy Director of the Department of International Exchanges, Ministry of Education of China, delivered a speech to the conference; Mr. Yang Zerui, Director of the Research Office of the China National Committee for Pacific Economic Cooperation, gave the participants a vivid current affairs course. On this multi-level international platform, more than 1,000 students from more than 100 schools across the country have undergone preliminary selection and training. In the end, nearly 300 students stood out and became the official representatives of the conference. At the venue, they expressed their opinions on various popular international issues, performed well, and completed a qualitative leap in quality training. On April 18th, the opening ceremony of the 2021 Yangzhou“Fireworks March” International Economic, Trade and Tourism Festival and the signing ceremony of major projects were held at the Canal Grand Theater.
Mr. Zhang Wenlong, the founder of Window of Philadelphia, was awarded the title of “Investment Ambassador” by the Yangzhou Foreign Office in recognition of the rich business cooperation opportunities and abundant resources that Window of Philadelphia has brought to Yangzhou over the years. It was also recognized for its emergency transfer of medical supplies from abroad in the early stages of the epidemic, when medical supplies were extremely scarce, to assist Yangzhou and make outstanding contributions to Yangzhou's fight against the epidemic.

The 193rd Philadelphia Flower Show "Chinese Culture Festival" was held at FDR Park in Philadelphia from June 11 to June 19, 2022. The event was hosted by the Sino-American Business and Travel Association (the founder of "Window of Philadelphia"), assisted by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and supported by the Consulate General of PR China in New York. On June 17, Consul General of PR China in New York Mr. Huang Ping, attended the "China Day" event and delivered a speech. Pennsylvania Democratic Congressman Scanlon, Philadelphia Mayor Kenny, Deputy Director of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Briel, Philadelphia City Councilmember Squilla, Helen Kim, and President of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society Reid delivered speeches respectively at the event. The organizer, Window of Philadelphia, also invited two Chinese cities, Hangzhou and Yangzhou, which are also famous historical and cultural cities and canal cities, to promote cultural tourism resources during the festival. 2022 "Build a Better Future @ Asian Games" The 2nd Canal Cities Model United Nations Conference is hosted by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals Working Committee Action 35553 and organized by Window of Philadelphia and Deno International Education Consultant. It was supported by various associations, schools, media TV stations and many other official and non-governmental organizations. The conference provides an opportunity for outstanding elementary and secondary school students in various regions to exchange ideas and learn from each other, as well as establish a platform for Chinese youth who are determined to engage in diplomacy.
The 2022 conference continues the strong lineup of the 2021 International Horticultural Exposition-First Canal Cities Model United Nations Conference: nearly 600 student delegates from 20 cities and more than 100 schools across China participated. They represented their respective cities and schools during the official session to show the spirit of Chinese youth in the new era. The main venues of the conference were set up in Hangzhou, Zhejiang and Yangzhou, Jiangsu, and were carried out simultaneously in the form of online + offline.
The organizing committee of the conference invited a number of important guests to the opening ceremony to impart diplomatic concepts, congratulations and encouragement to the delegates; these guests include former diplomats, provincial and municipal leaders, US state government officials, current UN officials, etc.
In celebration of the 2023 Chinese Lunar New Year, the iSING! Suzhou "Echoes of Tang Poetry · Chinese New Year Concert", jointly organized by the China Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the Asian Performing Arts Council of America, will be held on January 6 and 7, 2023, in Philadelphia and New York respectively. Concurrently, the "Echoes of Tang Poetry" New Year Reception, co-hosted by the US-China Business & Travel Association and the Philadelphia Orchestra, will take place on January 6 at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.
The "Echoes of Tang Poetry" New Year Reception will welcome distinguished guests including Huang Ping, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in New York; Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney; Congressman Dwight Evans; Pennsylvania State Senators Nikil Saval and Sharif Street; Pennsylvania State Representative Joe Hohenstein; representatives from Suzhou; and leaders from the business and political communities of the Eastern U.S. The event will celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit and commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Philadelphia Orchestra’s first historic visit to China.
Held in the Hamilton Gardens at the Kimmel Center, the reception will be hosted by renowned ABC anchor Nydia Han. Keynote speeches will be delivered by honored guests, followed by cultural performances featuring Suzhou Kunqu Opera, traditional Chinese dance, and guzheng (Chinese zither) music.
On the morning of July 21, 2023, the "Setting Sail for Dreams · Connecting the World" 2023 Summer 3rd Canal City Model United Nations Conference successfully opened in Yangzhou. During the opening ceremony, Huang Ping, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in New York, delivered a video speech. On the morning of July 28, 2023, the "Gathering in Xicheng, Building Dreams for the Future" 2023 Summer 3rd Canal City Model United Nations Conference officially opened in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Huang Ping, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate General in New York, and Mr. Steven O'Berien, Senior External Relations Officer of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, sent video messages. On March 1, 2025, the 196th Philadelphia Flower Show grandly opened at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. As the largest and longest-running international horticultural exhibition in the United States, this year's event, themed "Gardens of the Future," captured global attention. Qingdao, China, as the only non-U.S. participating city, showcased its theme "Enchanting Qingdao: Where Tradition Meets Modern Vitality," presenting to the world an oriental coastal city that harmonizes historical heritage with contemporary dynamism.
The US-China Business & Travel Association played a pivotal role as the key facilitator of this event. Leveraging its bridging function in Sino-American economic, trade, and cultural tourism exchanges, the association collaborated with the Qingdao Municipal People's Government and the Chinese Consulate General in New York to organize the China (Qingdao) - USA (Philadelphia) Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference.
