Attachment: Summary of speeches of key guests at the release ceremony

Zhang Qiyue, Chinese Consul General in New York, said in her speech that both China and the United States are major tourism countries with important international influence. In the 2016 “China-US Tourism Year”, the scale of tourism exchanges and tourism cooperation between the two countries have achieved gratifying results. According to the latest estimates, two-way tourism exchanges between China and the United States will exceed 5 million this year, of which the number of Chinese visitors to the United States is expected to exceed 3 million. In September this year, the High-level Sino-US Tourism Dialogue was held in Ningxia, China. There, the two sides signed the "Sino-US Tourism Cooperation Action Plan", which provided more convenient and strong support for further promoting the exchange and cooperation of tourism culture between the two countries. It can be said that the increasingly close tourism cooperation has not only enriched the connotation of Sino-US cooperation, promoted exchanges and mutual understanding between the two peoples, but also injected new impetus into the economic development of the two countries. Tourism has become an important link connecting the people of China and the United States, and the highlight of the construction of a new type of important relationship between China and the United States.

Philadelphia Mayor James Kenney said in his speech that Philadelphia, as an international city with great cultural diversity and the first world heritage city in the United States, welcomes tourists from all over the world. He looks forward to Philadelphia playing an important role in U.S.-China exchanges, and hopes that "Philadelphia Story", a highly informative and practical travel manual, can provide a guide and help for Chinese people to understand the importance of Philadelphia. He also praised some of the line-mounted manuals with Chinese cultural characteristics, saying that they were the most beautiful "Travel Manuals" he had ever seen.

Dubinski, Director of the Franklin Institute, and Greg Desaille, Managing Director of the Philadelphia City Tourism Bureau, announced that they will actively expand channels, build platforms, and provide services to further strengthen pragmatic cooperation with China in culture and tourism, and promote cultural exchanges between China and the United States.
